Collection of plastic, cans and drinking cartons (PBD) in Eindhoven.:
Plastic packaging material has already been collected in Eindhoven, but now it is allowed in the same bags also cans and drink cartons. This is better for the environment and cost-effective.
PBD:
PBD stands for plastic, cans and drinking cartons. Examples of PBD waste are: plastic bottles,
soda cans, food cans or packages of milk, yogurt and fruit juice. You can do this put it all together in one bag and take it to an underground or above groundcontainer near you. The containers are spread throughout the city and can be recognized by the Orange colour. Even if there is only ‘plastic’ on the container, PBD is still allowed.
Recyclable:
Collecting PBD ensures that you have less residual waste and therefore less waste is burned. It’s a shame to burn cans and drink cartons, because they are recyclable and can therefore be reused as raw materials. That’s better for the environment than it is to burn.
Proper divorce:
Properly separating waste is not always easy. The same goes for PBD. The most important is that only packaging material ends up in the container. So packaging of food or objects. Other plastic, such as: toys, buckets, swimming pools, clothespins and utensils do not belong in the container.
When in doubt: dispose of it with the residual waste or take it to the recycling center. Furthermore, the packages are empty, but they do not need to be rinsed.
Do not place waste next to the container! Is the container really full or is it no longer working? Bring then take your waste to a container nearby. Never place waste next to the container. This is
prohibited and causes nuisance. It is maintained by BOA’s of the municipality Eindhoven. The costs for cleaning up will be charged to you if a violation is detected.
More information about PBD can be found in ‘Everything about Waste’ on the website or in the Cure Waste App.
