A meal for someone else!
Every day we ask ourselves, what will we eat today?
In almost all of the Netherlands a warm meal is served every evening but for some people who are
vulnerable and have been hit hard by the corona crisis this is , in reality very different.
Many of them have lost there work and income and are unable to find help.
With Red Cross maaltijd voor een andere(meal for someone else), you can for € 2, donate a warm
meal to someone who needs it.
We make the donation into a food packet or a shopping voucher and through our local partners
make sure that it reaches the people who need it most.

The Roeda sweeper is coming around Blixembosch
The Road sweeper is coming around Blixembosch.
Once again the roads are covered, and the drains are blocked as the leaves fall from the trees, this
can cause dangerous conditions, therefore it is fine that our roads are cleaned.
You to can help. When all the cars are parked along the roads it makes it difficult to clean up
properly, so with your help we can make it easier for those that do the cleaning.
The council cleans the roads twice a year( in the spring and in the autumn). They will do each
neighbourhood in 2 days, one day they do all the roads on the side from the even numbers and the
other day they do the side with the un-even numbers.
Therefore we ask you not to park your car on the side of the road that will be cleaned between 08.00
and 17.00.
There will be boards on the entrance roads to the neighbourhood indicating which area will be
cleaned and when.
In the current situation with more people working at home, it will be challenging for everybody to
move their cars so that the road sweepers are able to do a good job.
Here is the schedule:
Amerkaanse neighbourhood: Wednesday 18 November (even nrs) and Thursday 19 Noember (un-
even nrs).
Sprookjesbosch and the English neighbourhood: Monday 23 November(even nrs) and Tuesday 24
(un-even nrs)
Italian and French neighbourhoods: Wednesday 25 (even nrs) and Thursday 26 (un-even nrs).
The Edelsteen neighbourhood: This will be done at another time, keep your eyes on the information
boards!
The team that keep our roads clean do this the whole year round so that we can enjoy a clean
neighbourhood.
And of course a thank you for the volunteers who place the information boards .

The Prik post for taking blood samples in Blixembosch is open again.
Before this took place in the pharmacy but we have de move to the community centre, VTA Blixems.
You will find the entrance on the side of the building by the youth club JC Blixems.
With the current restrictions because of the corona virus, we are working by appointment only.

So many sporting activities are unable to go ahead with the current corona rules, but tennis and
padel is going ahead.
For anybody who wants to take part in these activities we have a special winter offer. This consists of
a winter membership for all, young or old, which enables you to tennis or padellen as often as you
want and whenever you want. You can also request 2 X tennis or padel clinic. A clinic will be in small
groups, it will be of 1 hour duration and will be given by an experienced player.
As a new member you will be welcomed to tv Bokt by a committee member and shown around and if
necessary you can hire a tennis racket for a small deposit. There are padel rackets and balls by the
padel courts.
So why not come along to our modern, active friendly club!!

Blik opzij, dan kan de veger erbij
De bladeren zijn weer gevallen. Ze liggen in de goten en op de straten. Dit kan gladheid veroorzaken. Daarom is het erg fijn als je een schone straat hebt. U kunt hieraan ook meewerken. Veel geparkeerde auto’s maken het moeilijk om de straten goed te vegen. Hiervoor hebben we uw hulp nodig. De gemeente laat minimaal 2 keer per jaar (1 x in het voorjaar en 1 keer in het najaar) uw wijk integraal in twee delen vegen. De ene dag de kant met de even huisnummers en de volgende dag de kant met de oneven huisnummers. We verzoeken u om uw auto niet te parkeren tussen 08:00 uur en 17:00 uur aan de straatkant die op die dag aan de beurt is. Door middel van borden die langs de toegangswegen van uw wijk staan, ziet u wanneer uw deel van de wijk aan de beurt is.
Vooral in deze coronatijd – waarin zoveel mensen thuis werken – is het een extra uitdaging om de auto weg te zetten zodat het veegwagentje erbij kan.
Op de onderstaande data wordt geveegd:

De aannemers die Blixembosch onder hun hoede hebben, werken het hele jaar door om onze wijk mooi en netjes te houden. Dus niet alleen tijdens de integrale veegacties wordt er in de wijk geveegd!

Kinderkamp Blixemkids 2020 circus is weer voorbij :
Kinderkamp blixemkids 2020 circus :
Het zit er weer op, de 3de editie van het kinderkamp van de Blixemkids.
En ook dit jaar was het weer een groot succes. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Al was het kamp wel anders dan voorgaande jaren ivm het coronavirus. Hierdoor hebben we nog
creatiever moeten zijn in vooral het halen en brengen van de kinderen.
De kids werden zaterdagochtend afgezet door hun ouders, waarbij ze met de auto een echte
circustent inreden, de ouders moesten in de auto blijven, en na een gezondheids-check mochten de
kinderen uit de auto richting het gebouw en kon het kamp echt beginnen! Ook dit jaar hadden we
weer leuke spellen georganiseerd zoals een speurtocht, een quizavond en een vossenjacht en was er
ook genoeg tijd om te oefenen met verschillende circusattributen. Want het was natuurlijk wel de
bedoeling dat er een spectaculair optreden gegeven werd zondag.
De ouders kwamen in groepjes zondag een heus drive-in circus binnen gereden, waar zij onder het
genot van een bakje popcorn genoten van hun eigen circusartiesten die de meest geweldige trucs
uitvoerde.
Een super afsluiting van een super kamp!
We willen iedereen bedanken die dit kamp mede mogelijk hebben gemaakt. Onze vrijwilligers die
ervoor gezorgd hebben dat de kinderen genoten hebben, de organisatie die het kamp helemaal
corona proof hebben gemaakt en de sponsors, bakkerij Bekkers en Albert Heijn Blixembosch.
We hopen alle kinderen volgend jaar 18 en 19 september weer terug te zien tijdens Blixemkids kamp
2021!

Update on De Plasteau ! ( okt 2020 )
Update on De Plateau
If you have taken a walk around De Velden going towards De Plateau you may have wondered why it
appears that the work has stopped, well that is because the first phase is finished. The council and
the contractors moved a lot of ground, the whole area is now ready to build on and the roads and
paths can now clearly be seen.
What is the plan now??
The developer BPD has this week given a short update.
Phase 2 is being worked on behind the scenes, at the moment the council are researching into all
aspects of the development of the houses, this will then be put before the Welstandcommissie, there
after the all the permits should be given.
The architect bureau SVP will then make an image plan that will be further made concrete and the
program will then be finalized.
What does that mean for interested parties? It is expected that the concrete plans will be presented
in the 2 nd quarter 2021. Depending on the interest from potential new residents it is expected that
the building will commence at the end of 2021, this is expected to take about a year to complete. It is
expected that half way through 2022 the first new residents will be able to move in to De Plateau.

Youth Blixembosch ( okt 2020 )
The team from the Youth disco are also shocked by the increase of positive tests of the corona virus.
We realize that this is a strange time for all our youth’s, but we don’t want to take any risks by letting
the youth disco go ahead. We do not ,as the neighbourhood association, want to be responsible for
further infections, so unfortunately we have taken the decision to cancel the youth disco in October,
November and December.
This ahs not been an easy decision to make as before the corona the youth disco was very busy. It
was fun to get together with school friends, neighbours and sport buddy’s, to chat and also dance.
Also together with the youth centre we had some new idea’s for the youth of Blixembosch but
unfortunately Corona has interrupted this for the time being. Hopefully we will be able to pick this up
again in the future.
So It is to Youth Blixemboschbe continued………
