Neighborhood Watch.
Neighborhood prevention is a collaboration between residents and the police to ensure that thieves, burglars and vandals are less likely to strike. This can be done by paying extra attention and being more involved in the street in which you live.
But also by patrolling the neighborhood in striking, recognizable clothing at regular times as a neighborhood watch. Our experiences and those of others enable the police and local residents to stay better informed of developments in the neighbourhood. It doesn’t take much effort or time, but it can yield something: a safer and quiet neighborhood.
Neighborhood Watch Blixembosch
Neighborhood watch Blixembosch started in 2014. Neighborhood prevention in Blixembosch is carried out by coordinators and neighborhood prevention officers with the support of the police and the Municipality of Eindhoven. The coordinators are jointly responsible for coordinating all neighborhood prevention activities and are the point of contact for local residents and other parties.
For the proper functioning of the neighborhood watch, it is important that there is good contact with local residents.
What is neighborhood prevention Blixembosch not
It is certainly not the intention to exercise control or to infringe on the private life of Blixemboschers.
Neighborhood watch is all about keeping eyes and ears open in the interest of everyone.
Neighborhood prevention is not only reserved for people who have registered as a neighborhood prevention agent, it is in all of our interests that residents respond adequately to situations that require it.
Local residents
Neighborhood watch cannot function without local residents. Local residents can do a lot to increase safety. Of course, that starts close to your own home. There are several precautions you and your housemates can take.
In addition, it is important for every resident that he or she takes responsibility and reports nuisance or unsafe situations to the responsible authority.
Neighborhood prevention Blixembosch currently consists of 55 active neighborhood prints. We are looking for even more active local residents to strengthen our neighborhood prevention team. After following a training you will receive a certificate, then you are a neighborhood prevention.
