The idea:
In 1992 Nelly Michon and Joost van de Molengraf had an idea. The organization of a Family Spectacle in the new Blixembosch district (at the time only Blixembosch 1, the gemstone neighbourhood). The first residents had just lived there for a year, the neighborhood association had been founded and the first editions of the Blixemflitsen had already been delivered. All that was missing was a neighborhood party. Nelly and Joost developed the idea and organized the first version of the Family Spectacle. A piece of undeveloped building site on the Opal, in line with the Maansteen, was chosen as the location. In 2006 we celebrated our third lustrum. The neighborhood has grown considerably and the Familiespektakel has also grown in number of visitors. We had to check the first location because of the construction of homes
